Pionnier du rock progressif moderne
Porcupine Tree est le groupe fondé par Steven Wilson, devenu au fil des années l’une des formations majeures du rock progressif contemporain, avec des albums comme « In Absentia », « Fear of a Blank Planet » et « The Incident ». Né le 3 novembre 1967, Steven Wilson fête ses 59 ans.
Après une première période presque entièrement construite par Steven Wilson, le groupe s’impose sur scène avec Richard Barbieri, Colin Edwin et Gavin Harrison, avant une longue pause après « The Incident ».
Reformé en 2022 autour de Steven Wilson, Richard Barbieri et Gavin Harrison, Porcupine Tree publie « Closure / Continuation », tandis que Steven Wilson poursuit parallèlement une importante carrière solo.
